Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What do you mean by "full" or "all day" coverage?
A: Full coverage means we'll be there when ever you want us to show up the day of the wedding and don't stop until the main events of the reception are finished . If you'd like us to take photos of the ladies getting their hair done and it happens to be 7 AM, we're ready to go. If it's earlier than that, we may need a little coffee to get moving, but we'll be there to photograph whatever you have planned. On the other end of that, most receptions tend to slow down after the major dances are finished and the cake is cut, we'll wrap up the night, usually around 10 or 11 PM. If you have an event scheduled at the end of the night, let us know and we'll try and fit it in.
Q: How many photographers do I get?
A: Two full photographers working in tandem to cover every angle of your wedding day. We may split up to get the bride and groom's perspectives, or come together to organize a massive group shot. We'll bounce ideas off of each other we might not have otherwise, or use each other as a lighting assistant to get the perfect portrait.
Q: How many photos do you take?
A: You'll take home between 800 and 1200 photos. We may shoot many more than that, but we'll weed out the near duplicates and the ones of Aunt Melba squinting or her mouth open in every other group shot.
Q: I want to take photos at a few different places before the ceremony, can I do that?
A: If you schedule enough time, anything is possible. If you have a great idea, we want to make it happen. Let us know and we'll work out logistics and timing, and we'll let you know if it's feasible in the free time you have.
Q: So you give me a CD with unlimited printing rights, are you for real?
A: Yes! We offer photography as service, not a product. You're hiring us to shoot your wedding, everything we capture is yours to begin with. We don't watermark or brand your images. You own all rights to reproducing your photos in either print or digital form. Share them with whoever, copy them for friends, we don't care. We hand over full rights in our written contract with you. Of course, we'll use samples up on our website, but other than that, we're happy to hand them over to you, no strings attached.
Q: You guys don't do prints?
A: Nope! Besides, all we would be doing is charging you ten times what it cost to print, and then pocketing the rest. We're not interested in being a middle man - We don't do print packages at all. There's no reason in today's world why you should have to come back to us at some point in the future because you want a 5x7 for your grandmother and we charge you $25. Affordable Inkjet printers or the photo lab at Walmart up the street can make excellent prints at a fraction of the price.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: We use professional Canon Digital SLR's and a number of high quality prime lenses . We also bring along professional studio strobe lights, flashes, and other light modifying tools that allow us a great degree of control and flexibility in capturing your wedding. We will shoot your wedding using both the lights we bring as well as natural light, depending on the space and situation.
